Working Power Honored with Inclusion on 2026 Transformative 25 List

WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 28, 2026Working Power was included on this year’s Transformative 25 List, a carefully curated assembly by Collective Action for Just Finance featuring select funds, banks, and initiatives that create meaningful change through integrated capital and community leadership.First published in 2021, selection for the List is made by a committee of 20 members and is based on scores across five areas: social, relational, and ecological returns; participatory ownership and guidance; integrated capital; creative finance for community needs; and team diversity. “We’re thrilled to see Working Power’s impact uplifted in this way, alongside two dozen other organizations that are making meaningful progress to achieve systemic change and realize a just transition,” says co-executive director Yerina Mugica. “Out of the box thinking is how we create community-based climate solutions to move towards a more resilient future.” Working Power’s inclusion is recognition of our consistent efforts to center community vision, voice, goals, and leadership in the clean energy projects we support. Our thoughtful approach enables community ownership by bridging local needs with investor expectations, facilitating investment in high-performing, wealth-building clean energy assets. A just transition is possible with greater investment in community solar, microgrids, electrification and energy efficient buildings.Learn more at https://www.transformative25.org/.
