Yerina Mugica

Yerina has decades of experience leading systems change across climate, equity, green finance, and community partnerships. As co-Executive Director of Working Power, she is instrumental to the development and implementation of an ambitious and sustainable growth strategy while fostering an inclusive, collaborative team culture. 

Over the last 20 years, Yerina has:

• led the Healthy People & Thriving Communities program at NRDC, a 100-person, $30 million program focused on supporting climate, health and equity strategies across city, state and national policy implementation;
• expanded green finance capabilities and a community and justice-centered focus within the national environmental movement; and
• provided consulting expertise to community and justice centered organizations.

Yerina has a Master’s degree with a concentration in Sustainable Enterprise and a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
